Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP)

The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) is a provincial immigration program designed to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and international graduates to settle and work in the Northwest Territories (NWT). The program allows the territory to nominate candidates for permanent residence in Canada, supporting local economic growth and addressing labor market needs.

Streams under NTNP

1. Skilled Worker Stream

The Skilled Worker Stream is for candidates who have a valid job offer from an eligible Northwest Territories employer. Applicants must have relevant work experience, meet language proficiency requirements, and demonstrate an intention to live and work permanently in NWT. This stream provides a fast-track pathway to provincial nomination and ultimately Canadian permanent residence.

2. Employer-Driven Stream:

The Employer-Driven Stream targets individuals with a full-time, permanent job offer in an eligible occupation. Successful applicants receive support from their employer during the nomination process, making it easier to gain permanent residency in Canada while contributing to the local workforce.

3. Business/Entrepreneur Stream:

The Business/Entrepreneur Stream is designed for candidates intending to invest and establish a business in NWT. Applicants must provide proof of personal net worth, submit a strong business plan, and have relevant experience in business management or ownership. This stream allows entrepreneurs to grow a local business while securing provincial nomination and permanent residence.

4. International Graduate Stream:

The International Graduate Stream is for recent graduates from recognized Canadian post-secondary institutions. Candidates must have a skilled job offer, meet language requirements, and demonstrate an intention to reside permanently in NWT.
